Ok, firstly you watch some depressing shit, either Thirteen (not the halloween movie, the one about self harming 13yr olds) or maybe Girl, Interrupted.
Get some Michael Cera in there - Juno would be the obvious one but Nick and Norahs infinitive playlist is the cutest film ever, apart from 500 days of summer, which you also need to watch.
Ellen Paige... watch Whip it, directed by Drew Barrymore, thats a good film.
Chuck in some Tim Burton - I would say Edward Scissorhands or if you feel like a cartoon Corpse Bride (personally I think better than the nightmare before christmas).
Other classics: american beauty, trainspotting, lost in translation and little miss sunshine but I'm kind of assuming you've watched them.
Zombie stuff... 28 days later also Dog Soliders and maybe Zombieland, they are funny.
I dislike like Keira Knightly (alot) but she is good in the Duchess and Never let me go which is new.
Cherrybomb with Rupert Grint is alright.
